Flyers Gymnasts Shine at the 65 Roses Challenge Ahead of State Championships

The Flyers gymnastics program delivered a series of impressive performances at the 65 Roses Challenge held at Fredonia State University, using the competition as a final tune-up before the upcoming state championships. Several Flyers athletes earned individual podium finishes while two teams brought home banners in a strong overall showing.

Team Success Highlights the Competition

The Flyers Xcel Gold team secured a fourth-place team banner, while the Level 2 squad captured an impressive second-place finish. The results reflected the depth and consistency of the program across multiple age groups and competitive levels.

Among the Xcel Gold athletes, Isabella Constantino led the junior division with strong performances on bars, beam, and the all-around competition. Courtney Kujawa, Erinn Sluga, Elliot Collins, and Mia Truesdail also contributed valuable scores that helped the team secure its fourth-place finish.

Level 2 Team Earns Runner-Up Honors

The Level 2 team enjoyed one of the most successful days of the event, finishing second overall.

Amelia Garland was among the standout performers, earning top finishes on bars and beam while placing third in the all-around competition. Lilly Schnars Jr. also produced a strong performance with podium finishes on beam and floor exercises. Alicia Ritter added multiple top-four finishes across several apparatuses, helping the team secure its second-place banner.
